InterEnergy Group, through its innovation division, InterEnergy Systems, joins electric mobility with the official launch in the Dominican Republic and Panama of Evergo, the most sophisticated and largest network of electric charging stations in the region.

As part of the actions carried out in the Dominican Republic to promote environmentally friendly transportation modes, and as a sign of willingness to integrate new technologies into public transportation, the company Evergo, operated by InterEnergy Systems, presented the first imported electric bus to be implemented in the Dominican Republic.

Evergo accelerates its steps in the mission of making sustainable mobility a reality in the Dominican Republic with three new electric charging stations in Santiago, located in the Burger King parking lots and in a branch of Supermercados Nacional. The latter is the first state-of-the-art charger in the region.

Furthermore, they are committing to the electric mobility business, with a plan to install the largest network of charging stations in the country (500 by 2021) and extend this initiative to Central America.

(“InterEnergy”), through its shareholding in Energas, announced a strategic partnership with AES Dominicana to form Energia Natural Dominicana (ENADOM), a company that will commercialize natural gas throughout the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic through a pipeline which is currently in construction.

Our Country Manager in Panama, Jamilette Guerrero, was appointed President of CECACIER, being the first woman to be elected to chair the organization. ECACIER is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, founded on July 6, 2009, in San José Costa Rica, which brings together companies and organizations from the energy sector of the Central American and the Caribbean region.

The former President of the United States Bill Clinton visited the facilities of the Consorcio Energético Punta Cana Macao  -CEPM-  to learn about the infrastructure and innovative technology supporting the efficient energy supply model in the East of the country, specifically for the tourist area of Bavaro and Punta Cana.
